They are remote and hostile environments. Places where none of us, as forged by civilization and its many enticements, could long resist. Yet, maybe because of their unquestionable purity, the deep and visceral fascination of this spaces stuns us, overthrowing us.
The Brazilian Pantanal, in Mato Grosso, is the largest wetland in the world, a vast flood plain covered for much of the year by the waters. A rich ecosystem and a place evoking cinematic and literary suggestions.
